Self-Portrait Color

For the color I had a bit of a different process than with the grays. Firstly I had to separate some of the grays since if I didn't then some parts of my hoodie would match the color of my skin. I also had to keep using the eye dropper tool to get a color that fit since I had the original image on the side and some parts looked the same when in gray but where different shades in the original. The color made some of the parts stand out more as in the original gray one, it was hard to tell where my eyes were since the colors blended and you could only tell where the pupil was. Color allowed me to fix that and make the detail of my eye more clear and obvious. When working on the background I used many different effects to make it such as gradient, noise, and outer glow for the stars. This project was time consuming but it taught me how to use the pen and curvature tool more effectively. I also learned that I don't need to focus on all the little details because I am just getting...

Self-Portrait In Gray

For this project it was a quite long process. This was mainly because at the start I was putting a lot of detail which made my hair and hoodie look more detailed when it comes to the darker colors. Then after I started to put less detail and hurry up with the lighter colors. It was a bit challenging as I wanted to put a lot of detail but I wasn't meant to and at some points I felt like things were off. Also some of the colors didn't work correctly such as a part of my eye but with the detail I made near my eye, it looks normal for the most part and doesn't blend in with the other color. Another challenge was that I sometimes got lost in the colors and didn't know if I was doing the right color or the right part so I had to constantly check if I was doing it correctly. Also it was a bit challenging to change the colors to gray since I had to constantly go back and forth to see which gray I was using and see if I was on the right layer.
