Self-Portrait Color
For the color I had a bit of a different process than with the grays. Firstly I had to separate some of the grays since if I didn't then some parts of my hoodie would match the color of my skin. I also had to keep using the eye dropper tool to get a color that fit since I had the original image on the side and some parts looked the same when in gray but where different shades in the original. The color made some of the parts stand out more as in the original gray one, it was hard to tell where my eyes were since the colors blended and you could only tell where the pupil was. Color allowed me to fix that and make the detail of my eye more clear and obvious. When working on the background I used many different effects to make it such as gradient, noise, and outer glow for the stars. This project was time consuming but it taught me how to use the pen and curvature tool more effectively. I also learned that I don't need to focus on all the little details because I am just getting to know how these tools work.

It is interesting how much detail you put into the portrait and still be able to put equally as much work in this detailed background
ReplyDeleteI like how much detail it has and the background looks amazing
ReplyDeleteif i am going to be honest i believe that there is nothing that can be fixed. i love how realistic the colored one looks and how the hoodie looks like an actual one. the background gives it a pop of color and looks so space related i love it in general. its amazing !
ReplyDeleteI really like the background
ReplyDeletethe part that can be improved is the lips because you cant really see them
