Did Your Logo Do Well In The Ad?
I think my logo did do well in the ad. The white color I put on it drags your eyes to it first since it contrasts with the dark colors on the ad. I also think its a good way to incorporate it on there as adding the logo to the bean would seen off and in this ad I'm not promoting one specific product but rather the brand as a whole so it made more sense to just leave it near the top of the ad. The logo stands out but not so much that it is the center of attention and allows you to gradually go from looking at the logo then the bean in the middle and then the text of the ad. If I were to change anything then I'd probably use my logo to promote a product. Putting my logo on a cup of coffee, can of coffee, or coffee bean bag would make more sense than leaving it at the top if I were to promote a product.
Did Your Brand Research Help In The Making Of This Ad?
I think brand research actually helped a lot when it came to making this ad. The ads I got from Starbucks, COSTA and the other coffee companies helped a lot with the designs I was going for. The one by ROASTAMORE caught my attention a lot with the bean being broken in half and showing their bag of beans product. This gave me a lot of inspiration and made me think about ways to design my own ad. It helped me think about a way to do that while tying it towards the name KOSMIK. As a result I decided to put a galaxy/universe inside of the broken bean and wrap the small broken parts in the direction of the cosmic swirls. I liked the researching ad part as it allowed me to see how companies make all sorts of ads and what they incorporate in them. Seeing all the ads related to coffee made me think about what I wanted to include and convey and I had trouble deciding on 3 to use as reference so I put 4 in.
Do You See Your Brand Values In The Ad?
So in my ad one main thing that I am able to see that represents my values is uniqueness. The ad is really unique because you don't really associate outer space with coffee and I feel like that represents my values well. Additionally the been with galaxy/universe showcases the uniqueness more than if I were to but a bag of beans with a logo which was my other design. Another value I tried to incorporate was the quality aspect. I did this very clearly by having the companies value of quality inside of the ads text. I said that the company ensures the best quality in each cup and that is what the quality is primarily mean to be shown in. For my last value of affordability, I didn't really show that off at all. I was trying to figure out a way to put it in discreetly but kind of forgot about it and didn't add it at all. If I were to ever change this ad at all, I would try and incorporate it in someway so that people know its affordable. I think it's fine the way it is now and if I do add affordability into it, I don't know what I'd put.
Would You Change Your Logo Now?
The answer to this question is no but yes. It is a no because I like the way KOSMIK looks and everything that comes with the logo so I wouldn't change anything about it at all. It is also yes because I did change my logo a bit when it came to designing the ad. I changed the color of my logo to a white color rather than a black one. This was done to stop the black from blending in with the dark background. I think the only time I would change my logo is if I need to make a color change or, if I have to modify the logo in a way that requires me to remove the coffee or lines in order to fit in with the ad. I am pretty content with my current logo so I'll only make changes if needed. In the future I might change my logo in different ways that I will figure out later on. Right now though there are no plans to change my logo in any way.
